These Halloween treats are cute and simple! All you need is a package of hot dogs, 1 can of crescent rolls and mustard. Take your crescent rolls and roll them out on wax paper. Cut the triangles into strips that you can wrap around the hot dogs. Wrap the hot dog like a mummy and place on baking sheet. Bake on 350 until brown. Dot the eyes with mustard and now you have mummies!!!!

Wednesday Verse Therapy

It's the middle of the week and I feel the need to post a verse that has helped me get through things for the past couple of days. Hope this can help with your problems like it did mine, sometimes a good verse that was meant for you is all you need to make it through the day!

Philippians 4:8

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Week Night Meals

Green Chili Enchiladas

I never turn down Mexican food! There is something special about rice and cheese with spicy chicken or beef and o yeah don't leave out the sour cream! Enchiladas was on the menu for tonight and I would love to share with you my Green Chili Enchiladas recipe. Enjoy!

Needs:
2 Chicken Breast
3 Tbsp Butter
3 Tbsp Flour
I Can Cream of Chicken Soup
1 1/4 c Chicken Broth
1 4oz Green Chilies Chopped
1 c Sour Cream
1/4 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Pepper
4 c Mexican Blend Cheese
1 Can Sweet Corn
Jalapenos
Tortillas

Brown your chicken breast in a skillet over medium high heat. You may want to add a little butter! After your chicken is cooked thoroughly set aside to cool. Sauce; Mix together your softened butter, flour, cream of chicken, chicken broth, sour cream, green chilies, salt and pepper. All canned items should be drained. Add in a few Jalapenos (this is optional). Begin to pull your chicken apart. Fill your fajitas with chicken and spoon sweet corn over the chicken. Sprinkle cheese over corn and wrap carefully. This should make about 5-6 enchiladas. After you fill the casserole dish with enchiladas, pour sauce over all and finish with left over cheese. Bake on 350 for 25-30 minutes. This is so yummy! I served with taco rice and topped enchiladas with sour cream and guacamole.

Pumpkin Tips

If you want to do something different with your pumpkins this year try this trick. I got these different pumpkins from a local market, the blue pumpkins are my favorite. Choose 3 different styles you can work with and make sure you are able to stack them. When you get home rub dirt off with towel and spray a clear coat on the pumpkins. This gives them a shine and looks great for inside decor too! 1 can of clear coat was well enough for 6 pumpkins. It doesn't take much...

More to come....

Can't Say I Do Without You

Before you start any wedding planning you must gather your girls! I wanted  to do something special and creative for my bridesmaids. I really liked the idea of the bridesmaids box and found several different cute ones online. Here is what I came up with....

Needs:
Cigar Boxes
Wood Marker
Stencils
Spray Paint
Lace
ribbon
Hole Punch
Goodies of Choice

First off you will need to paint your boxes. Make sure to pull the stickers off the bottom, this can be tricky. After your paint drys over night, use stencils and the wood marker for the wording on your box. The name looks best on the front, you may have to free hand some.  I found a map of my venue online, so I used photo shop to make it look vintage.  This made a awesome bottom for the box. Last fill your box with goodies and be creative! Each one of my bridesmaids had a different box.

Map of the venue after I gave it a vintage look

Lip gloss and measuring tape

Use lace to dress it up!

I used left over paint swatches and made hearts for the wedding date. Use a hole punch very carefully and tie your heart with some fine string or ribbon to the lace. You can slide the bow on and off very easily to open. That's all til next time, thanks for stopping by...

Stormy Sundays

Sunday is my favorite day of the week. Family, home cooked meals and laughter. I came across a reading today, while in church, that really stuck with me so I would like to share it with you;

No one can live on a mountain of excitement. Fortunately, the Lord has not asked euphoria or even excitement from us, just faithfulness and steadfastness. As the old preacher used to say, "Its not how high you jump that impresses God but how straight you walk after you hit the ground. "

Sweet Tooth

The hardest part about making sweets is not eating the ingredients beforehand. It's almost impossible to keep the right amount of candy when you have a man in the house! This easy peasy recipe is great for anytime and super cute. All you will need is;

1 Bag of Hershey Kisses
M&M's of any color
1 Bag Snyder's Square Pretzels

Preheat oven to 200. Lay your pretzels on a baking pan lined with parchment paper and place Hershey kisses on the tops of each pretzel. Next, place in oven for 4-5 minutes tops. Place your M&M's on the top and let cool!

Crafty Monday

OK so I'm obsessed with the whole initial thing! I know you are too so I'm fine with it. I recently got in the fall mood and found this super cute diy initial wreath. It's very easy to make and not too expensive either. Here is what you will need;

1. Grapevine Wreath
2. Burlap
3. Flowers of Choice
4. Hot Glue Gun
5. Painted Letter

I bought all these items at Hobby Lobby for around 25 bucks, my flowers were on sale so I got lucky on those! After you have all the supplies all you will need to do next is make a bow with the burlap. This can be kinda tricky but the bigger the better! Glue your bow on first and this will keep you even on the sides. Next, clip your flowers with some wire cutters. Yes, that means go get your man! Now you are ready to start sticking and gluing the flowers. Lastly, glue your letter to the wreath and let dry over night. Now ladies we have an initial wreath!

Sunday Morning Coffee

Verse for Today:
Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you,"declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
